Beverley-crossing

beverley crossingResidents living in the Sigston Road area of north Beverley face a 1.5 mile round trip to the pub and shops on Model Farm to avoid a dangerous crossing.
Locals have complained that crossing Hull Bridge Road at the Swinemoor roundabout is too dangerous for the elderly and disabled - but the walk to the pelican crossing between Highfield Road and Little Clover is just too far.
Cllr Dave Boynton (pictured) said: “One of the most common complaints we have from around this area is that crossing the road on that roundabout is increasingly dangerous as it keeps getting busier but is too far to walk from a safe crossing.
“East Riding of Yorkshire Council Highways Dept have said they are sympathetic to a review of this issue, but they need people to write in.”
