Councillor Viv Padden
Lives in the Haltemprice area. Before this he served in the Royal Navy, then offshore as a Helicopter Landing Officer. He owned a Fish and Chip Shop with a B&B in Huddersfield, and then decided to return to the area. He then owned a Fish & Chip Shop with a restaurant on Boulevard. Was elected as your Councillor in May 2019 for the Anlaby and Anlaby Common community.
He also sits on the local Skate Park Committee and is a fundraiser. During Covid-19 he organised and set up the Help Desk and Food Bank within Hessle Town Hall. Proactively campaigning to Save Anlaby Woods, repair local roads, and secure the Springhead Lane gate, whilst developing the project "Men in Sheds".
Councillor Margot Sutton
She previously represented Southfield Ward since the 2011 elections and has lived in the area for over 30 years and is currently the Chair of the Environment & Open Spaces and the Tree Committees. Margot care sa great deal about the local street scene, litter and dog fouling issues and she likes to tackle the big issues that concern local people.
She has made efforts to help maintain/protect local trees in the Conservation Area and sought to maintain the lovely street scene in the Southfield Area. She have has previously been the Chairperson and Mayor of Hessle Town Council in 2015-2017. In her personal life she is married with a grown up child and currently fosters a 12 year old child.
